Hey! I'm Ashley, and I believe that there's a lot that you can find out about a person by simply looking at a profile page like this one. Actually, if you really want to know me, you should friend me on facebook. Lame? Possibly, but seriously, my facebook page is like a window into my soul.

I'm a student majoring in both Spanish and Japanese because I love different cultures/music/food/languages! (Bonus if you speak Spanish) (Double bonus if you speak Spanish with a South American accent)(Japanese and Chinese are also pretty hot) I like to party, and I'm pretty outgoing, but I also really enjoy just hanging out and talking. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart and really like having that special someone in my life.

Some random things about me (in no particular order):
I support same-sex marriages.
I'm really into photos--my photo albums are kind of like my diary.
I've cheated on a partner before but never want it to happen again.
I don't like odd numbers. I never leave TV/stereo volume settings on odd numbers.
I love baking/cooking and spending time in the kitchen.
My preferred means of death: assassination. (think about it)
I speak English, Spanish (more or less), and a bit of Japanese.
I *tend* to find South American and Asian men to be the most attractive.
I'm extremely loyal to my friends and would do anything for them.
I have a strange fear of seaweed/lakeweed because you can't see what's hiding in it.
I support a woman's right to choose. This does not mean I am pro-abortion.
My favorite comfort food is brownie batter. That's right. Brownie. Batter. I never bake the stuff.
I really like writing things in parentheses. (I'm also quite fond of the semi-colon; it rocks my world.)

After I graduate I plan on teaching English in Japan for a year, and then possibly a couple years in the Peace Corps in South America. After that, I'm not sure. I currently volunteer for the International Institute in Saint Louis, and perhaps I will end up working for a similar organization, or maybe I'll go to grad school for a masters in education. I'm not sure yet; I'm figuring it out as I go.

I'm good at listening and making people feel better. People tend to confide in me when they don't know who else to go to.

Oh, and being modest. I absolutely rock at being modest.

I think people usually notice my eyes first (they're blue). Personality-wise, they notice that I'm organized and logical. After a while though, most people are surprised to find out how adventurous (read: crazy) I can be.

Favorite books? "I could no sooner choose a favorite star in the heavens." So I'll just list off some that I've enjoyed: Harry Potter, The Fountainhead, Bound Feet and Western Dress, and Fuenteovejuna.

I love Duvall, Josh Groban, Duncan Sheik, Juanes, Reik, Mana--most of my music is relatively mellow.

As far as movies go, I like: Best Man Worst Friend, America's Sweethearts, Charlie Bartlett, The 10th Kingdom, all the Lord of the Rings movies, Evita. (my favs tend to be romantic comedies)

Food, oh I love food. I love Mexican (but not like Taco Bell Mexican, ha!), Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Spanish/Latin-American, and Italian.

Men-I think about guys all the time, and I always seem to have someone I'm lusting after. I mean *cough* ahem, um...someone I'm thinking about.

School-I'm pretty focused on my academics right now, and I love my classes. This usually means that I'm also thinking about my future: what will I do after graduation? Which careers are right for me? Where do I want to live? Yeah, I'm a worrier. Sorry, that's just who I am.

Food-Well, I love food. A lot. Enough said.

Traveling-There are so many places I want to go: Japan, China, Australia, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Egypt, Italy--everywhere basically. I really would love to have a job that allows me to travel.

Friends-I love my friends and would basically sell my soul for them. I'm a relationship person; the people in my life mean the world to me.

Books-I love to read. I only wish I had more time for it these days.

Money-I don't enjoy thinking about money a lot, but don't we all?

Men-Did I mention that I think about guys a lot? Of couse, this means that I think about love a lot too. I love love, and quite honestly, this is what I'm looking for in a relationship.

Music-Music is everything to me. When I'm upset I eat chocolate, but if my world is falling apart I listen to music. One of my favorite things to do when I'm stressed is to drive around and listen to my favorite songs.

With my friends: at the movies, out to eat, or just hanging out.
