I just graduated from UGA with an art degree. That's right, an art degree. However, art is on hiatus for a while until I recover from school and figure out how to integrate it into real life.

I just moved to Denver to work in a bookbindery. What this means is that I don't know anyone around Denver and I really want to meet friends here to brighten up those few hours when I'm not slaving away at work. So, future friends, a bit about me:

I'm what people call "outdoorsy". Canoeing, hiking, camping, skiing, and poking around in streams floats my boat. Whenever I see a lizard on a wall or in a bush, I go after it... I try to restrain myself, but I can't help it. I don't think I appear to be outdoorsy but my love of nature is evident in my artwork and in my home.

I like the way fire smells. And tea, and spicy things. Using all five senses is important, even though I wasn't born with a musical ear.

I am cynical and sarcastic, and I value the merits of grammar and spelling as well as hygiene.I have a great or possibly terrible sense of humor that involves simultaneously cracking sophisticated jokes and doing crude interpretive dances at people. Banter is a must.

I like travelling, even though I'm terribly horribly badly shy. I'm so shy that sometimes I just stay home. But, depending on the mood, I can burst out of the house and go chatting up strangers all day. I don't have a lot of friends, but the few i do have are truly remarkable individuals and I devote my time to them.

I am attempting to start anew. I'm done with college, so I'm supposed to be all trained up for the real world and ready to go. By day I assemble books. It involves a lot of glue. By night I dream of a life full of excitement and richness.

Art. Design. Lizard catching. I'm a decent listener and better procrastinator. I'm also really good at finding things because I have a great memory for where I saw something last.

I'm good at jumping out at people from around corners. This usually happens to my dad, who then smacks me for it.

Who knows, probably how dirty and paint-splattered I am. Observant people may notice that my eyelashes and eyebrows are blonde on one side and brown on the other. Evidence of a split personality perhaps?

Music: most everything from irish pop to incubus to parliament to 311 to arabic to muse to barenaked ladies to zero 7, everything but country, american pop and assembly line rap and hiphop. I listen to weird stuff.
Foods: thai, indian, and starbucks. peach fanta.

I would love to meet Douglas Adams. I have a massive crush on Douglas Adams, considering he's dead. He and I could go back in time and save the dodo together.

I don't know. Ask me again when I know what I'll be doing with all the other nights.
