HELLO! My name is Heather! My nicknames include: Fish, Cheddar, Kittii, Chickie, Heether, Heathuar....the animal of all lovers. >.< Don't ask. Heh.

I'm basically looking for someone who can be serious and fun. Who loves helping out the environment, or who will at least support me when I do. Someone who doesn't mind getting dirty, in fact thrives with it, but is fine with staying at home cuddling and talking. I'm serious a lot of the time and need someone who'll egg me into doing stuff I WANT to do, but claim I don't want to. I need someone who'll expose me to new things, but accept it if it's not my cup of tea. I love art and science. I ADORE someone who's talented in many things and can keep me laughing. Someone who doesn't necessarily need to share my interests, but who's passionate enough about their own that conversations will flow.

I'm shy at first, but I do warm up pretty quickly. I phail at life! OK, I'm kidding. I only fail at walking straight. I'm a pretty big klutz, are you willing to catch me?

I love doing outdoor activities, but I fail at structured sports. When I say I love the outdoors, I mean I love camping, hiking, cycling, swimming, kayaking, horseback riding...that stuff. Now, do I know where to do all this stuff? Usually not. I used to be a part of the BSA Venturing Crew. YES I was a boyscout! And YES I'm female, and I'm sure. I have/had certification. It's co-ed people! Anyways, I loved doing the activities, but now that I'm on my own I don't do it nearly enough.

I love the beach. I love playing pool. I love laughing at my attempts to bowl. I love hanging out at coffee shops and bookstores. I draw, write poetry, sing, take photos like they're going out of style.

Has anyone seen the commercial with the guy who has tons of pictures of him and his girlfriend in myspace-esque photos and then when he breaks up with her he crops her out and starts a new batch? I think it has to do with Windows software. Anyways, minus the replacement...I want a guy/girl who'd take pictures of the two of us like that.

I'm uber affectionate. I mean, ultimate lovey dovey. <3

Right now I'm going to FGCU for Marine Science/Environmental Studies. I work part time in a tuxedo rental shop and as a intern for Coastal Watershed Institute.

At CWI I do everything from filling preserved specimen bottles with Isopropyl Alcohol, to counting spat (baby oysters) on recruitment stringers, to going out in the field and collecting oysters and crabs.

At the tuxedo shop (Sacino's!) I set up weddings, sell merchandise, do the measurements and stuffs. NO! I don't take inseam!

I also work with a geologist who is studying the eggs of land off the Florida coast and with a nonprofit organization called Save the Bays in a restoration project. We're trying to restore clams and oysters to the bays to help filter the water.

I'm pretty busy...all the time! I'm starting to socialize more, hence this site. Well, partly.

Pfft....EVERYTHING! Ok...ok.. I kid. But it is a lot of stuff.

I'm REALLY good at not squealing when something gross happens. XD

I'm an incredible listener, but I'll admit I'm a terrible conversationalist.

I'm great at making unbelievable cheese omelettes...if you can get me to like you enough to cook for you. Which is RARE!

My eyes. They change shades, but they're always beautiful.

I'm really freaking shy, it's not until later that I'm completely open and insane. Get to know me!

I don't have favorite books as much as I have favorite authors. Nora Roberts, Richard Laymon, Dan Brown, Douglas Adams, Patricia Briggs, Vicki Lewis Thompson

Favorite movies include Mindhunters, I Am Legend, The Dark Knight, The Brothers Grimm, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, American Psycho, V For Vendetta...and a bunch of others. I love horror mobies, but I also love movies that make you think.

Music...I love a huge variety. I generally will listen to anything and then pick and choose favorite songs out of each genre. I listen to everything: classic rock, alternative, heavy metal, scream-o, rap, country, oldies, pop, jazz, classical... hell, I'll listen to bluegrass if it's on!

Food...hmm.. well, my favorite foods...are...sushi, seafood, and pasta alfredo.

1. Music - I'm constantly listening to music. At least, when I can. I sing without thinking. I was a band nerd. Played Trombone.
2. Books - my book collection is extensive, and yet I only have a little variety. I'm working on it. But for a long time I've been collecting Nora Roberts. I almost have every book ever written by her.
3. Physical Contact - I'm uber affection. I don't need constant physical attention, but I'm big on hugs and holding hands and cuddling. I don't believe in halfhearted hugs.
4. Nature - I'm a naturalist by nature. Marine scientist by choice.
5. Camera - If I have a camera that works or doesn't have a drained battery, I'm constantly taking pictures. I love photographs and the potential for some amazing shots.
6. Friends - Because you gotta have friends!!

And not necessarily in that order... And you know, I would add tons more, but the limit is 6 so I gave only 6.

...how I could've better reacted to social interactions. I fear I'm socially inept and a bit gawky...

The idiots of the world would attempt to jump in the water with a nonsubmergable electric razor. XD Electrocuted! The smart ones would use desposable, or waterproof electric. SHAVE THE WHALES!

I don't know about a typical Friday night, but I know this past Tuesday night I was hanging out with MeginaSays at the beginning of her party fest. She's setting it up so people who are in there twenties can hang out in a comfortable environment, be themselves, mingle and meet people in the area! Great idea! You should ask her about it and join the festivities!

I worry a lot that I'm not interesting.
