Hi, I'm Talon. I've lived by myself for almost 10yrs, and love it. Though I do have a feathered flatmate..Spike the cockatiel (he's 7). I love animals, but am allergic to dogs, cats and horses. That doesn't stop me trying to pat them.

Cars are a huge passion I've had since I was 14. There are few things better than an SLR 5000 with tunnel ram *rawrr* I'm strictly V8s only! My faves are Toris, old Commodores, XY Phase III and Vettes. Hot roadbikes also make me faint..R1, Fireblade, GSXR and Ninjas top my list. I'm captivated by freestyle motox, which I've only seen on tv *sniffle*

People seem confused by my personality. I love cute girly stuff, and the darker side of things. I giggle at funny cartoons, and have a collection of witchcraft books. Paper cuts make me cry, but I love piercings. Soapies are just as entertaining to me, as nature/history documentaries. I wear pretty dresses with frills, or 4 inch platform buckle-up stomping boots. I am unique, and proud of it.

Children irk me and I NEVER want any of my own. However, I do have a 2.5yr old nephew that I adore. I've been a smoker for 17yrs and don't plan on quitting. Don't bother telling me it causes cancer, that's just a scare campaign to avoid future litigation and there is NO proof. I HATE illegal drugs, and even try to avoid taking pain medication. I kill my own spiders, change my own lightbulbs, pay my own bills, set up my own stereo equipment and fix my own computer. I don't wear make-up, nor buy expensive jewellery, never get my nails done, don't date people for what they own, will not lie to my friends nor have sex with someone just for the sake of it.

I'm here because I'm looking for people to form new friendships with, and share the ebb and flow of our lives. This package includes support through good times and bad, a shoulder to cry on, sounding board, rant listener, moral compass, intelligent conversation, car show companion, honesty, loyalty and the occasional free dinner (if you like spaghetti hehe).

note: Lately I've been considering opening my mind to a relationship. I'm rather unsure about it, even though the concept seems inspiring on the surface. When I think about it a little more, I recall the relationships I have had, and have no desire to have again. It seems far too much to ask for a man to be honest and loyal, which I find very sad. This is a societal issue in my opinion, as most people appear to be dishonest and shallow. I think, if it's so difficult to make friends, what hope is there of meeting someone amazing (in my eyes)? I don't want a man who's looking for a sexual gymnast, or a handbag to show off to his mates, or a life-like blow up doll. Hmm did I just rule out 80% of men? haha. Look, I don't think chicks are so crash hot either, but for the purposes of this ramble men are the issue. Where are the smart ones that haven't turned 30 yet? Where are the ones who put compassion above selfishness? Where are the ones who don't have a porn collection? Where are the ones who love fish n chips by the beach or kissing in the rain? Where are the ones who do their own washing and dishes? Where are the ones who think emotional blackmail, cheating and lies should NOT be part of a relationship? Perhaps they are only in my imagination..but just one real one would be nice.

winning disagreements. haha just kidding. Ok maybe not. This is something about me that annoys many people, but not anyone who's mature with a desire for knowledge. Let's face it, disagreements can be fun and give us the opportunity to learn. Only idiots turn them into abusive yelling matches. *I have a habit of swooning over people who prove me wrong.

I'm also pretty good with psychology stuff. Ooh that sounded intelligent haha! I've studied people for over 15 years, and learned a lot. Unfortunately I didn't learn anything that made me view humans in any brighter a light than the dark depths I have seen them in since I was a child. Not all are bad, just most :p I do know a few people who are beautifully amazing. My dear friends whom I will always treasure (and they know it!).

My bridge. Oh how insightful the general public is :p Other than that..my hair, because it's very long or because it's purple.

Books: I rarely read books. Faves I have actually finished are the Happy Bunny series, Vampires Among Us, Necronomicon, Bad Dates and The Between Boyfriends Book (by a Sex n the City writer).

Movies: The Crow, Donny Darko, Powder, Transformers, Christine, The Night Flier, Dracula 2000, Fast n the Furious, Disturbia. Mostly horror..the more gore the better!

Music: TOOL, APC, NIN, Incubus, Jerk, TISM, The Cult, Fraggle Rock theme hehe. Mostly metal.

Food: watermelon, mango, chocolate, hawaiian pizza, toasted vegemite rolls, spaghetti (the only thing I can cook). I'm very fussy.

Music. Furry or feathered companion (I will settle for scales). Ciggies. Solitude. Creativity. Passion.

Everything. I remember, when I was a child, being incredibly intrigued as to why people behave a certain way. I instantly developed a deep desire to know, and the curiosity hasn't faded yet. I find people the most amazing and irritating creations. There are probably few things I haven't thought about.

disappointed at the awful music on Rage these days.

1. I'm scared of pain. I think it started with being hit in the bone with a tetanus shot when I was 12. Ever since, I wince at the sight of a needle, or anything that can bite/injure me. It has improved with the purchase of Hello Kitty bandaids ;)

2. I'm a very devoted member of Neopets. It's a virtual pet site. Go on, have a giggle! lol. It's lots of fun and I met one of my best friends there. I also collect Neopets merchandise..so don't be shocked if you see my loungeroom and 20 plushies (plush toys) are staring at you 0_0

3. When my sister was born, Grandma crocheted her a beautifully soft blanket. She never had much interest in it..so when I arrived a year later, my sister passed it down to me. This blanket would be known as "Lovey". Lovey and I quickly became inseparable. At first it was cute that I'd always fall asleep with my fingers and toes sticking through the holes in Lovey. My adoration for my baby blankie was so much that my digit-poking had caused many of the stitches to undo and Lovey was now (years down the track) in various pieces. Mum became rather annoyed with it. She kept trying to take Lovey off me, which would cause much flailing, crying and huge tantrums. One day..Lovey was gone..I couldn't find it anywhere! I ran around the house secretly searching for my beloved blanket, which was nowhere to be found. So I went downstairs, dragged a chair over..and rummaged through all the cupboards..success!! Much to Mum's horror (and my sister's eye-rolling)..there I was, snuggled up with my Lovey pieces..again. At some point Lovey vanished..permanently, I don't recall how or when.

Years later, Grandma made my sister and I new blankets. Mine unfortunately disappeared via a flatmate. Then, another one arrived from Grandma. I was very happy, especially because (due to Grandma's age) this was probably the last blanket she would ever crochet. This new blankie was to become "Ruggy". I was now in my 20's, and many years would be spent with Ruggy keeping me warm at night. It even accompanied me on sleep-overs. Ruggy became my secret chastity blanket. When "friends" (people whom I thought were) would sleep over, Ruggy kept me safe from their advances by cocooning me in a web of comfort. No bony hands could get through Ruggy's exterior.

I'll be 30 this year..and (laugh as you might) at this very moment, Ruggy can be found scrunched up underneath my doona. When I have trouble sleeping, I'm often curled up on the couch with a half decent movie, my giant Care Bears baby pillow, and snuggly wrapped in Ruggy..my fingers and toes poking through the holes.

You've read this WHOLE page! Why talk to someone if you have no interest in their personality? (you don't have to read the "private" babbling, since it's somewhat irrelevant.) You're 23-30, single, drug free, intelligent, close enough to visit (NOT by plane lol) and think we might have some fun conversations (in view of friendship).

*edit: if you don't have a pack of ciggies in your possession right now, move along. Non-smoking friends are too much hassle.
