I can have fun doing most anything, be it an intense conversation about an engrossing subject, or a frivilous conversation about a gross subject. I'm active (work out 3-5 times a week) and ran my first marathon in Boston a few years ago. It will most probably be my LAST... but I could be persuaded to run it again with the right person. Music, movies, the arts, books, sports, dancing, dining and daring (and an obvious penchant for alliteration) are some of my favorite things.

I'm equally at home in a bar or a club as I am at the MFA or just holing up on a rainy day with hours worth of DVDs (for the record, that might include silly comedies, subtitled films, action packed fare, romantic comedies, taught thrillers, cerebral drama, or mindless fun. My tastes are very broad. Quality is quality and can be found in many different forms. That goes for people too of course). I can talk with you all night about Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead", or spend all night wading with you in a fountain.

If you can dream it, I will do my best to make it come true. Come to me with your smile, your dreams, your laughter and an open and growing mind, and we'll have a blast. Positive attitude about yourself, body, spirit and mind, confidence in who you are and where you want to be, and an ability to be both vulnerable and strong at the same time. These are wonderful qualities to find in any person I would want to spend time with ...

I could also express myself in terms of what I'd love to be lucky enough to find in a partner, mate, soul-mate, partner-in-crime, co-conspiritor, foil, friend, best friend, lover, confidante and much more. This is extremely blunt, but it's also extremely honest and real and most importantly ... is NOT, repeat NOT a list of "must haves" or really provided to be taken entirely literally and/or specifically ... but rather in terms of overall texture and spirit (if that makes sense to anyone else but me that is...).

I'd love to find a woman:

-- who can "get" me ... the real me ... totally and completely and vice versa ... and see my jokes to others coming and start laughing inside before I've even spoken ... that has her own quirky ways that are irresistable and stay in my head even when we're apart

-- who I can adore completely and fully and know without a doubt that I would never be distracted by the advances, charms or attentions of any other ... i.e. Salma Hayek could strip nude in front of me and offer every desire and orifice and I'd say "nah... thanks... I'm good"

-- who adores ME in the same fashion (substitute Brad Pitt, Colin Farrell... whoever floats your boat)

-- who is strong and vulnerable at the same time. That I can easily see and feel the little girl she once was, and the amazing woman she now is ... and trace a path in my mind that clearly connects the two and keeps them alive in one body ...

-- who will sing "Fame and Fortune" from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with me in the car while we xmas shop .. and even BETTER ... in the STORES, too

-- who wants to please me emotionally and sexually only slightly LESS than I want to please her ... that's way MORE than a fair deal ... trust me on this one ...

-- who cares about fitness and looking her best but also knows that it's fun SOMETIMES .... to stop and eat double cheeseburgers at every McDonald's we pass on our way home from the mall just to be crazy ... and that life is to be LIVED

-- who knows who "Tenacious D" is ... and why they are such GENIUS ...

-- who could equally enjoy "Wedding Crashers" ... "Adaptation" ... "Lord of the Rings" ... "Sex and Lucia" ... "The Hours" or "PootieTang" ... depending on our mood

-- who loves music ... to listen to ... to sing ... to dance to ... to make love to ... to discuss and to bask in ...

-- who ... even though she may not have read "The Fountainhead" ... or "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" ... might be interested to ... or at least discuss the concepts held within them....

-- who ... would jump the fence at a public pool and skinny dip with me in the quiet of the rising sun after staying up all night ...

-- who ... would sneak alcoholic drinks into a bad movie with me ... and laugh as the bottles we accidentally kicked rolled down the aisle in the middle of the flick.... and who might "go down on you in ... a theater" ... aka "the Alanis Morrissette" ...

-- who actually has the strength and conviction to go the distance in a great relationship because she realizes that finding the perfect person for you is the hardest thing in the world ... and something most people NEVER find ... and when you do .. you should NOT LET GO ...

-- who will lie naked with me ... after having mutually mind blowing sex ... and snack on and totally enjoy "cheating" ... with Ben and Jerry's while we agree that Conan is the BEST thing that ever happened to late night TV ...

-- who can be as elegant as anyone at a White House Ball ... but looks even better in jeans, a t-shirt and a baseball hat ...

-- who wouldn't mind ... that I can't really keep my hands off or her ... and that I constantly find ways to make ordinary things extraordinary ... like throwing her clothes in the dryer for 5 minutes on a particularly cold day ... just before she puts them on to keep her warm on the way to the car ... like taking the mattress off the bed and plunking it in the middle of the living room on a rainy day ... and ordering WAY too much chinese food and every On-Demand flick we can think of ... like having a picnic in a park at midnight under the stars ...

-- who not only laughs at and with me.. but who MAKES me laugh as well ... and can be silly ... and sweet ... and gorgeous all at the same time ...

-- who pushes me to be more than I was when we met

-- who saw "As Good As it Gets" ... and knows that she "makes me want to be a better man" ...

-- who saw "Garden State" and wants to scream into the "infinite abyss" with me...

-- who is up for most anything that doesn't hurt us ... or anyone else ... and that we can laugh about for years ...

The short skirt and the long jacket are optional. ;-)

I can assure you ... that if you DO meet this description ... or think you could ... or want to ... there's way more that will come TO you with me than I've asked for ... it's not even close ...

The very best I can, each and every day. Isn't that all anyone can ask of themselves?
