I reached my peak at the age of 9 with a mention in the local newspaper on account of my memorizing the lyrics of every beatles song ever recorded, and also a published poem:

"I wish the stars were candy bars, and the moon a wonderful tune. The midnight black sky would be delicious apple pie- even if dinner was soon!"

Needless to say, it's a biological wonder I'm not morbidly obese.

These days I spend my time trying to reclaim the fame of former glories and my manager assures me one day I'll hit it big once again! (kidding.)

I moved here from the UK about a year and a half ago. The homesickness is immense but I'll survive (cue Gloria Gaynor and a microphone/hairbrush.)

My father is of ancient Persian descent, My mum is Irish. Both are very patriotic. If I seem to be in a permanent state of identity crisis, this is probably why.

I'm vegan but I don't really like to let that define me as I'm not an oppressive, everyone-should-think-exactly-like-me-and-do-as-I-do sort of vegan. I choose my lifestyle because it's the best choice for me, everyone else should do the same.

I'm quite spiritual but go by agnostic as I find it hard to trust the vulnerability of religion. I suppose what I mean by that is clergymen of all religions teach their holy book of choice by interpreting ancient rules into what they believe that holy book was trying to portray. I think religious extremists demonstrate how these interpretations can sometimes be very wrong, therefore putting all your faith in mere mortals with fancy robes(as fun as it sounds) can lead to very dangerous things.

I am liking me some Quakerism though.

I don't see the appeal in spending every weekend getting "blitzed" with the same people, in the same place, and inevitably vomiting up the same food-from-a-sketchy-vendor food.

People find the above hard to believe and are convinced I am actually a secret Christian missionary(how 007!), waiting for their moments of weakness so I can strike them with the bible and the absurdity of fossils.
